Meet our Founder, Barry Walker

In January 2020, Barry joined Brentwood Associates as an Operating Partner, Data Science.

Prior to that, Barry founded Bergemont in June  2015, which enjoyed a very successful 4+ year run.  He formed the company after nearly two decades of applying his expertise to assist numerous retail and restaurant concepts develop targeted and specific growth strategies, grounded in analytics.
Before incorporating Bergemont, Barry was Vice President of Strategic Planning at Zoës Kitchen, where he developed custom analytics solutions, acting as a lens for all expansion decisions. By articulating a clear path to 1,600 units, Barry's insights and projections played a key role in the company's IPO in April 2014, where he and a small team of executives rang the bell on The New York Stock Exchange.

His detailed expansion plan for Zoës was praised by Jim Cramer on 'Mad Money' in August 2014.
At Potbelly Sandwich Shop, Barry implemented sales projection models and expansion strategies, establishing the infrastructure for growth that led to an eventual IPO in 2013. 
His passion for location intelligence began at SRS Real Estate Partners (formerly Staubach Retail), where he provided research and analysis to support the growth of multiple retail and restaurant clients.
